Phillip Wood began working at the Wolfpack Club in 2002 after serving as an intern in the NC State Athletic Ticket Office.
During his 15 years at the Wolfpack Club, Phillip has overseen various areas of the organization. He began as Contributor Services Manager, overseeing the day to day operations of gift processing. For the next 8 years, Phillip served as Associate Director of Annual Giving. During that time the Wolfpack Club grew its membership to over 20,000 members and raised over $10 million annually for scholarships. While in Annual Giving his fundraising responsibilities included Raleigh, Charlotte, Fayetteville, Lumberton, and Wilmington along with various out of state areas including Greenville, SC and Atlanta, GA.
Currently Phillip is Associate Executive Director overseeing all fundraising activities for the Wolfpack Club primarily Capital Campaigns and Endowment. Phillip is also serving as the Wolfpack Club's Campaign Chair for NC State's University wide $1.5 billion campaign. He has led the fundraising efforts for the following projects: Carol Johnson Poole Clubhouse ($6 million), Dail Basketball Practice Facility ($1.5 million), Close-King Indoor Practice Facility ($17.2 million), Reynolds Coliseum renovations and the creation of a new Walk of Fame and History ($35 million).
Originally from Rockingham, Phillip is a 2001 graduate of NC State with a BS in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management and a Sports Management concentration. He and his wife Kristy live in Raleigh with their two girls, Libby and Molly Phillips.
