RALEIGH - Shaun Kirk, a 6-7 standout wing from Whiteville, N.C., has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the NC State men's basketball program.
"I'm very excited to have Shaun join our program, " head coach Mark Gottfried said. "He has tremendous upside. I love how hard he plays, and as a perimeter player, he has great length. He has improved every time I watched him play, and he is a player who is committed to getting better."
Kirk averaged 18 points, five rebounds and five blocks per game for Whiteville High School as a senior. He was ranked by 247Sports.com as a four-star prospect and one of the nation's top 75 players for 2015.
On the AAU circuit, Kirk played for Team Loaded NC and averaged 13.5 points per game at the Adidas Uprising Gauntlet Series event.
