Team Banquet Serves As Sendoff To ACC Tournament

While the team banquet serves as a celebration of the season, the message is clear. This Wolfpack team, which has won five of its last six games, has more work to do.
NC State will travel to Greensboro for the ACC Tournament this week, but the team gathered Sunday night at the Talley Student Union to review the season and honor its accomplishments.
NC State (19-12, 10-8) will be the No. 7 seed in the tourney, taking on Pittsburgh Wednesday, March 11 at 7 p.m.
Here's a list of the team awards handed out at Sunday's banquet:
Thurl Bailey Most Blocks Award: BeeJay Anya
Chris Corchiani Most Steals Award: Trevor Lacey and Cat Barber
Ronnie Shavlik/Tommy Burleson Most Rebounds Award: Lennard Freeman
Scott Wood 3-point Shooter Award: Ralston Turner
Terry Gannon Best Free Throw Shooter Award: Ralston Turner
Kevin Thompson Field Goal Percentage Award: BeeJay Anya
Chris Corchiani Most Assists Award: Cat Barber
Everett Case Scholar Athlete Award: Chase Cannon
6th Man Award: Caleb Martin
Nate McMillan Best Defender Award: Desmond Lee
Norm Sloan Most Improved Award: Cat Barber
