Leatham Hangs Up His Cleats

Senior quarterback Garrett Leatham, a former walk-on who earned a scholarship for the past two years, has decided to hang up his cleats. The Apex, N.C., native has played in six contests during his career.
Leatham, who will earn his accounting degree from NC State in May, posts a cumulative 3.4 GPA. In two weeks, he will start an internship in the accounting department at John Deere and plans to pursue a master's degree in accounting at NC State.
"We are very proud of Garrett," said head coach Dave Doeren. "It's impressive any time a kid can walk on and earn a scholarship and he did it for two years. He has a great work ethic and we appreciate everything he did for us. We are looking forward to watching him graduate and succeed in his career."
