RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State wrestling team closes out its regular season with five straight duals against top-20 foes, starting this weekend with trips to No. 17 Old Dominion and then to No. 9 Virginia Tech. The Wolfpack (13-4, 1-1 ACC) heads to ODU (10-3) Friday night at 7:30 p.m., and then will be in ACC action on Sunday at the Hokies (10-2, 1-0 ACC) at 2 p.m.
The Pack has splits its first two conference duals, falling 18-17 at home to Duke, then coming back from an 18-7 deficit with three matches left to pull out an exciting 22-18 win at North Carolina last weekend.
Of Note: In ACC duals this season, a pair of NC State wrestlers lead the conference. Joe DeAngelo (125) is the only conference wrestler to record a pair of major decisions thus far while Nick Gwiazdowski (285) is the only one to record a pair of ACC pins.
