@PackWrestle Climbs Five Spots in National Rankings

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State wrestling squad continues its climb in the national polls, as the Wolfpack (15-5) is ranked No. 20 this week in the USA Today/NWCA Division I Coaches Poll. The Pack has defeated higher ranked foes each of the last two weekends, winning at No. 17 Old Dominion 21-15 on Feb. 6, and then claiming a dominating ACC home win over No. 14 Pittsburgh 27-12 this past Saturday night.
This week’s ranking is the highest of the season for the Pack in the USA Today/NWCA Division I Coaches Poll, NC State was previously ranked No. 22 twice earlier this season.
Among the teams ranked in the top-25 this week, the Wolfpack’s 15 dual wins this year are tied for the second-most nationally only behind No. 2 Missouri’s total of 21.
The Pack closes out its regular season this week with a pair of duals against fellow top-25 squads. NC State will be in ACC action Thursday night when the Pack travels to No. 13 Virginia. NC State will host its final dual of the season this Sunday night at 7 p.m. against No. 6 Oklahoma State.
