There are a lot of things I have to get done in a day. It’s not hard, but it’s a lot of work. You have to keep up with it and stay focused. Friday is my relax day.
Conditioning
I feel like I’m getting in better condition. Workouts are a little easier due to the fact that my body is getting more used to it. I’ve lost about five pounds of the 15 I gained, but I know I’m getting in better shape.
Signing Day
I definitely don’t wish I had waited [to come to State]. I had my ceremony in front of the whole school. I don’t regret coming early because it’s been great to get acclimated and get used to the football program.
It’s going to be a real competition at running back. When we see guys getting better, we’re going to want to get better. Who will be the leader out of all of us? Who is going to be willing to push each other and help get everything out of each other? If we all perform like we SHOULD perform, it’s going to be amazing on Saturdays.
I talked to the other guys on signing day and congratulated them and everything. I’m just glad this program is progressing and so many people out there are starting to see what we’re trying to start and what we’re trying to get to and want to be a part of it.
Social Life
This weekend I will be going home for Valentine’s Day, but the weekends have been just relaxing. Me and some of the freshmen will hang out, maybe watch a movie or go eat. We’re trying to get a little bonding in. Sometimes I’m with the upperclassmen. I feel at home now.
Spring Practice
I’m ready!
RALEIGH, N.C. - Reggie Gallaspy II is one of seven new Wolfpack players who graduated from high school early and enrolled at NC State for the spring semester. The youngest of four children, Gallaspy was born in Flint, Michigan and moved to North Carolina when he was in fourth grade.
Throughout 2015, #RGII will share his journey as he makes the transition from rookie to veteran.
