A young and eager NC State men's basketball team welcomed local and regional media into the practice gym at Dail Basketball Center Thursday afternoon. The 13 Wolfpack players were available for the first time this season, discussing the excitement of the upcoming basketball season.
The media day was part of an extraordinarily busy week for the Wolfpack. The team was put through its annual Basic Athletic Measurement testing on Monday, followed by a two-day leadership and teamwork session with The Program. This weekend, fans can see the Wolfpack in action at the Tailgate Tip-Off presented by Butterball. Weather permtting, the outdoor basketball scrimmage and fan event will begin Saturday, Oct. 3 at 10:45 a.m.

Coach Gottfried addressed the media for 35 minutes, giving a glimpse on his thoughts of his fifth team at NC State. The coach said the Pack has some question marks, but it's excting to see the opportunities different players have to step forward and contribute. Additionally, for the first time, the media day included a live studio show streamed online from the players' locker room. Tony Haynes hosted the show, which included three player interviews and a segment with Coach Gottfried:
