RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State wrestling team will be in action this weekend, traveling to Pittsburgh, Pa., to compete in the Pitt Duals. The Wolfpack (7-3) will face Lock Haven, Eastern Michigan and Bloomsburg in three separate dual matches starting at 10 a.m. Sunday morning.
Sunday marks the third time this season the Pack has wrestled three duals in one day. NC State hosted the Wolfpack Duals on Nov. 23, defeating Lindsay Wilson (27-9), American (22-13), and UNC Pembroke (29-9). On Nov. 29, the Pack traveled to the Northeast Duals and downed Kutztown (36-0) and Hofstra (27-9) before narrowly falling to then-No. 3 Cornell (20-13).
Lock Haven is 2-5 on the season, and had a narrow 22-18 November loss to No. 19 Kent State. Eastern Michigan is 5-3 with wins over both Lock Haven and Bloomsburg, and Bloomsburg is 0-3.
The Pack’s two assistant coaches will each be facing their alma mater. Frank Beasley graduated from Bloomsburg in 2006 and Obe Blanc earned his degree from Lock Haven in 2008.
