What are the details about the 2014 NC State alternate football uniform design?
The 2014 alternate NC State football uniform designed by Adidas in conjunction with NC State Athletics features two primary colors: Black and NC State Red.
The football program wanted to create a bold #Statement about our pride and passion in representing the Wolfpack, as well as uphold the university's brand standards with these alternate uniforms.
The most distinguishing features of the alternate uniform design are the four metallic NC State Red Wolfpack claw swipes on each of the shoulders.
Additionally, the previously released alternate helmet was designed to mimic the colors of the gray wolf throughout the crown, while displaying the eyes of the Wolfpack in the NC State red on the helmet back. Replicas of the alternate jersey will be available at select retail locations in the coming weeks. Details will be announced on GoPack.com when available.
When are we wearing it?
The 2014 alternate uniform and helmet will be worn for the first time on Saturday, September 6th, with the possibility of wearing it in future games as decided by Coach Doeren and his program.
Coach Doeren on NC State Alternate "Pack in Black" uniforms:
Our equipment manager, Terry Calloway, myself, and Adidas brainstormed this uniform and helmet concept. We wanted a special look that was unique and embodied the colors of the wolf and NC State. The alternate uniform will be great for team spirit and recruiting. It turned out as we wanted it to - as very special and unique to NC State and College Football.
