Warren Named Second Team All-NBA Summer League

T.J. Warren averaged 24.9 points per game as a sophomore for NC State.

LAS VEGAS - Former NC State standout T.J. Warren was named second team All-NBA Summer League for his play with the Phoenix Suns summer team.

The 6-8 Warren, who was the 2014 ACC Player of the Year, averaged 17.8 points per game and 4.8 rebounds per game in five games with his Phoenix squad. He shot 54 percent from the floor and 65 percent at the foul line.

He was a second-team honoree along with Rudy Gobert (Utah), Tim Hardaway, Jr. (NY Knicks), Jordan McRae (Philadelphia) and Russ Smith (New Orleans). Glen Rice, Jr. of Washington was named the summer league's MVP.

Warren averaged 24.9 points per game as a sophomore for NC State, helping the team to its third straight NCAA Tournament appearance. The Durham, N.C., native was the third player in ACC history to lead the league in scoring and field goal percentage in the same season and was voted All-America by several national outlets. He was selected 14th overall in the NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns.
