
Wolfpack Stands 7th After NCAA Regional Second Round

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - After 36 holes, the NC State women's golf team is still in position to advance to the NCAA Championship.
The Wolfpack is in seventh place in the 24-team regional where the top eight teams from the regional advance to the NCAA Championship. NC State (+4) is one shot ahead of Campbell, which would be the final team to advance. Ninth-place Florida State trails Campbell by four shots.
Augusta James (-2) shot a 73 in the second round and leads the Pack in the standings. She is tied for eighth overall with six other players. Lindsay McGetrick (+1) posted the team's best round on Friday, carding an even 72. McGetrick is tied for 27th overall. Brittany Marchand (+3) is tied for 37th, Ana Menendez (+6) is 68th and Rachael Taylor (+9) stands tied for 92nd.
Vanderbilt leads the regioal standings, followed by Duke in second place and South Carolina and Tulane tied for third.
