The NC State arrived in New York City for its educational trip Wednesday afternoon, and the team enjoyed a couple unique experiences during the trip's first day.
The first item on the itinerary was to take in a show at the world famous Apollo Theater. The players and staff were able to participate in the show and experience a unique cultural event in a historic venue.
Prior to the Apollo, the Wolfpack did have time to swing by legendary Rucker Park in Harlem. The players spent some time with the local parkgoers and even played a little informal basketball with some kids at the playground.
Thursday's schedule includes a practice at the New York Athletic Club and a trip to the National September 11 Museum.
