
Pack Moves to T9 at NCAA Central Regional

NORMAN, Okla. - No. 20 NC State moved up into a tie for ninth after Friday's second round of the 2013 NCAA Central Regional at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Course.
The Wolfpack began the day tied for 12th, but a 10-over 298 on Friday allowed the team to move up three places in the team standings, and has positioned itself for a chance at advancing to a second-straight NCAA Championship. The top-eight teams after Saturday's final round move on to the finals in Athens, Ga.
The team leader board remains crowded with nine teams between third and 11th place separated by only four shots.
All-ACC selections Augusta James and Brittany Marchand lead the Pack through 36 holes. James is tied for 16th at 2-over 146, while Marchand is tied for 30th at 4-over 148.
Marchand fired a team-low round of 1-over 73 on Friday, while James and Ana Menendez both shot 2-over 74s. Menendez is tied for 54th at 6-over 150.
Vivian Tsui struggled with an 80 today, and is tied for 61st at 7-over 151. Rachael Taylor is tied for 115th at 160.
Host Oklahoma leads at 7-under 569, while Duke is second at 575 and Florida is a distant third at 589, only three shots ahead of the Wolfpack.
Oklahoma's Emily Collins remains in the lead at 7-under 137. Ally McDonald of Mississippi State is second at 138, followed by a trio of competitors, including two from Duke, at 141.
NC State will tee off with TCU and Wisconsin off hole No. 10 at 7:30 a.m., CT.
