RALEIGH – NC State’s all-time 3-point leader Scott Wood will compete in the 25th annual State Farm Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships on Thursday, April 4 from Georgia Tech’s McCamish Pavilion. The event will be aired live on ESPN at 7 p.m.
During his four-year career, Wood hit a program-best 334 3-pointers, eclipsing the mark previously held by Rodney Monroe (1988-91). This season, Wood’s 44.1 3-point field goal percentage and his 3.0 3-point field goals made per game led the ACC. Wood’s 41.3 career 3-point field goal percentage is seventh best in school history. Wood finished with 1,467 career points, the 18th most in program history.
In the ACC Tournament, Wood hit a career-high seven 3-pointers in the Pack's quarterfinal win over Virginia, the most by an NC State player in a tournament game. It also tied for the fourth-most 3-pointers made by a player in a tournament contest.
Veteran announcer Brad Nessler will call the action with analysis provided by Dan Dakich and Jimmy Dykes. Samantha Ponder will serve as the sideline reporter.
