RALEIGH - NC State's Scott Wood has been named ACC co-Player of the Week, sharing the accolade with North Carolina's P.J. Hairston.
In Saturday's 90-86 win over Virginia Tech in overtime, Wood led the Wolfpack in scoring with 22 points. The Marion, Ind., senior knocked down a season-high six 3-pointers, while establishing a career mark for minutes played with 43 and tying his career-high with three blocked shots.
In that contest, Wood also made his 126th career start, a new school record. He also moved into 10th place in the ACC in career three-pointers made, as he now has 299 for his career.
This is the first time Wood has earned player of the week honors, but as a freshman he was tabbed as the conference's rookie of the week following a 31-point performance against Florida State and scoring 11 against Clemson.
Wood and the Pack return to action on Tuesday night when they host Florida State at 7 p.m. at PNC Arena. A limited number of tickets remain for tomorrow game. Click here to purchase.
