NC State men's basketball will host fellow Triangle school NC Central Wednesday, Nov. 20 at PNC Arena. The game, slated to begin at 7 p.m., will be shown on Fox Sports South.
NC State (2-1) enters the contest coming off an 81-66 win over Campbell last Saturday evening. T.J. Warren, State's leading scorer and rebounder, led the team with 23 points. Tyler Lewis recorded career highs in assists (9) and rebounds (8) while committing just one turnover. The win was the team's sixth straight at home, dating back to last season.
NC Central also sports a 2-1 record after a convincing 62-43 win at Campbell on Monday night. NCCU is led by Jeremy Ingram, who averages 25.7 points per game. Ingram scored 27 points at Cincinnati, 21 in a blowout win over Johnson & Wales and 29 against Campbell.
NC State is 4-0 all-time against NC Central, part of the Pack's 29-0 all-time mark against schools from the MEAC. State boasts an average victory margin of 23.3 in the series, but the last meeting was relatively close. NC State held off NCCU for a 65-60 win in December 2011.
Following Wednesday's contest against NCCU, NC State will play Tuesday, Nov. 26 against 2013 NCAA Sweet 16 squad Florida Gulf Coast.

Dating back to 2008, NC State is 18-1 against nonleague opponents from North Carolina. That includes three wins over Wednesday's opponent, NC Central. The Wolfpack boasts a flawless 9-0 mark under Mark Gottfried against non-conference NC schools.

Known for his scoring efficiency, the 6-8 sophomore has picked up his game in other areas. In addition to averaging 21.0 points per contest, Warren leads the team with 7.0 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game. In the season opener, he shot 13-for-20 from the floor to score 27 points with eight rebounds. At Cincinnati, Warren posted a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, his third career double-double. Warren then scored 23 points on 10-for-20 shooting vs. Campbell.
4. THE 11TH MONTH
NC State almost never loses nonconference home games in the month of November. The Wolfpack is 15-2 in such contests dating back to November 2008. Gottfried started 4-1 in November non-league games at home during his first year at NC State and then went 2-0 last year. NCSU's last nonconference home loss in the opening month of the season came against Indiana (86-75 on Nov. 30, 2011). Overall, NC State is 56-12 (.824) during the month of November since 1999.
5. DEFENDING RALEIGH
