NC State men's soccer travels to Durham, N.C. on Friday night at 7 p.m. to take on Duke in a pivotal Atlantic Coast Conference matchup.
The Wolfpack (4-3-3, 1-3-2 ACC) hits the road fresh off of a 2-2 (2OT) tie against 10th-ranked Wake Forest on Tuesday night. Philip Carmon scored his first goal of the season, and Michael Bajza netted his second in the contest.
The Blue Devils (4-4-4, 0-3-3) are on a run of back-to-back scoreless draws. Duke tied No. 12 North Carolina last Friday, and submitted another 0-0 final against No. 23 Virginia on Tuesday.
Nick Surkamp represents the Pack's leading scorer with nine points on the year, coming from four goals and one assist. Surkamp's first assist of the season came Tuesday night against Wake, in the form of the rebounded shot for Bajza's goal.
Surkamp is followed by Clement Simonin's eight points on three goals and two assists, and Alex Martinez's six points on one goal and four assists.
Wolfpack goalkeeper Fabian Otte has three shutouts this season, giving him 11 for his career. The senior needs two more clean sheets this year to tie David Allred for seventh on NC State's career list.
