Wrestling Meet at UNC Friday to be Shown on ESPN3

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State wrestling team returns to action this Friday night, as the Wolfpack travels to ACC rival North Carolina for a 7 p.m. dual meet.
NC State enters with a 3-3 mark on its dual season, including an 0-2 slate in ACC action. Last weekend at No. 11 Virginia, Matt Nereim (157 pounds) and Patrick Davis (174 pounds) both picked up road wins.
North Carolina enters the dual with a 4-6 overall record including an 0-3 mark in ACC meets. The Tar Heels dropped home contests to Virginia (24-9) and Virginia Tech (32-9), then fell at Maryland last weekend, 21-16.
NC State’s Nijel Jones is ranked No. 20 for the second straight week at 165 pounds. The Tar Heels have three wrestlers ranked in the top-20 nationally: at 125, 133, and 149 pounds.
