RALEIGH, N.C. - No. 18 NC State hits the road for a midweek test at Campbell, Tuesday at 6 p.m., as the Pack prepares for a home series with Boston College this weekend.
The Wolfpack (24-10, 11-7 ACC) looks to build on the momentum of back-to-back wins at Clemson to take the series last weekend.
Freshman Trea Turner enters the game as the reigning ACC Player of the Week after tying the conference record with five steals in State’s Friday night game against Clemson. Turner also had the game-winning hit, a two-RBI double, in Saturday’s win in Death Valley.
NC State plans on using multiple pitchers in the game, but Dillon Frye (1-0, 2.53 ERA) represents the probable starter. Campbell has yet to name a starter for Tuesday’s matchup.
State took a 9-2 win in this season’s previous meeting between the two clubs, improving its record in the all-time series with Campbell to 32-10-1. Campbell’s last win against the Pack came in 2010.
Radio coverage for Tuesday’s game will be provided by 88.1 WKNC, fans can follow Twitter updates from @NCStateBaseball, and live stats will be available on GoPack.com.
