Raleigh, N.C. - The 4th annual Kay Yow Spring Game this Saturday concludes a month of spring practice for the Wolfpack. After coming off the Belk Bowl win over Louisville, NC State hit the weight room and then the practice fields, and will now anxiously await fall came to open in early August.

Glennon stopped by for a Live Chat to catch up the fans on the team's progress.
Welcome to today's live chat with Mike Glennon. He's up next on the keyboard. Thanks for being here. Send in your questions and I'll do my best to answer them.

First off, Congrats on last season. What parts of your game have you worked on during the spring, and will during the summer, to prepare you for the season?
Glennon: Thank you. I went back and watched all the games and saw some minor technique changes I could make. I will continue to work hard in the weight room and continue to work with the receivers to get ready.
Comment From Andy
Mike, How does the lack of having a big, one-on-one receiver change the way the passing offense is run?
Glennon: In our offense, we like to evenly distribute the ball. As a QB, I don’t look to throw to a specific person, rather I take what the defense is giving me and throw to a spot.
Comment From Joshua Lee
Hey Mike how do you think the offensive line has been playing this spring and have the new wide receivers been getting comfortable with college and being in the offensive? Go Pack!!
Glennon: The offensive line has really stepped up this spring. They’ve done a great job keeping everyone away from me and making it easier to step up in the pocket and make the throw. Their experience is really evident and I’m good friends with all of them, so there is a certain relationship there that is positive for our team.
Comment From John Robertson
What is your favorite part of being part of the wolfpack and also how does it feel being the *literal* big man on campus.
Glennon: Jordan Vandenburg is actually bigger than me. It helps that I’m pretty tall, but I’ve definitely gotten noticed a lot more around Raleigh in the past year. It’s a lot of fun to be able to play with some of my best friends and competing on the national stage every week.
Comment From lankhaw
Hey mike, just wanted to start off saying I’m a huge fan. In my mind it must be hard transitioning from football mode to normal college student life. In what ways do your roommates keep you motivated and yet so grounded at the same time?
Glennon: It's great living with Tyler "Sure Hands" Purvis and former player Henry Lawson. When Henry doesn't do the dishes, it makes it a little hard to concentrate on school and football, but I rise above it. #hankslife
Comment From tweeks3
How fast are you?
Glennon: Not that fast! But fast enough.
Comment From Stephen
Being behind Russell Wilson on the depth chart for a few years, I'm sure you learned a lot from him. What was the one best piece of advice/part of your game that you learned from Russell?
Glennon: His work ethic and how he approached the game from a preparation standpoint are the two biggest things I learned from Russell about being a successful quarterback.
Comment From Alex Hinson
Hey Mike, is beating Carolina a priority of yours this season?
Glennon: When I came to NC State, I quickly learned how important that rivalry is to our university. Nobody wants to be on the first team to lose to them in six years!
Comment From Mario Talbert Watson
With George Byran graduating, how have the tight ends been coming along?
Glennon: They have really worked hard in the offseason to get ready for this opportunity because they’ve been patiently waiting behind an All-ACC tight end. I know they feel like this is their chance to step up. I think there is great competition at that spot.
Comment From Guest
What tips have you gotten from your brother, Sean, about playing quarterback in the ACC?
Glennon: We talk like normal brothers – we’re not always talking about football like most people think. I think I learned more from watching his situation at Virginia Tech than I do from actual conversation.
Comment From Guest
Other than Carter-Finley Stadium, do you have any other stadiums you enjoy playing in?
Glennon: I would say for personal reasons, it was fun to go back to Virginia Tech and Virginia and it’s always exciting to go to the castle-like stadium at Florida State and Death Valley.
Comment From RJMattes
What was it like growing up in the O'Brien house?
Glennon: Real funny RJ. Probably about the same as living in Far-Far-Away with Shrek
Comment From Anna Faulkner
Hey mike being the starting QB at NC State is a pretty big deal, how do you manage you social life, I'm sure going out around town is tough with fans always wanting a piece of your time, and are you one of Ralieghs's most eligible bachelors
Glennon: Well actually, I have a girlfriend, but I still manage to go out and have a social life with guys on the team.
Comment From Danny J.
Does the defense dictate the velocity of the throws or the particular play/route. Is the soft pass harder to throw than the bullet?
Glennon: Good question. I guess it's a little bit of both. It depends on how close the defender is to the receiver. That can dictate the touch I put on the ball. Sometimes the soft pass can be harder to throw, because your mechanics can change.
Comment From YOLO
You're starting an NFL team today. Who'd you rather have. Cam Newton or Andrew Luck?
Glennon: Cam Newton really surprised me with how well he played last year and he brings excitement to the city. But I feel like for the long run, Andrew Luck will have a better career.
Comment From haywood
Tupac or Biggie? Reason
Glennon: If I’m trying to chill, Tupac.
Comment From lankhaw
As a quarterback, in reference to your throwing motion...are you built for speed or comfort?
Glennon: Henry, get back to work. Next question....
Comment From Patrick
How do you like opening up in Atlanta on a Friday night?
Glennon: It's been a long time since I've played on a Friday night. We've all had this game mapped out for a few years now and we are all looking forward to playing an SEC opponent in an NFL stadium.
Comment From Alex Hinson
do you think you can break the singe season touchdown record?
Glennon: My goal is to throw more than I did last year. If I can do that, I would be pretty close.
Comment From Richard
In the summer what do you do to kill time outside of football?
Glennon: I like to go to my family's beach house in Ocean City, Md, play golf and go to country music concerts.
Comment From Peggy from Raleigh
How much more confident are you this year that at this time last year and why?
Glennon: I'm much more confident and comfortable because I know what it's like to play in the games on Saturday. I know what to expect on game day.
Comment From @jphnc
how hyped are you about CJ Leslie coming back?
Glennon: I was real excited about the basketball team's run. Now that he's back with the recruiting class we have, I think we should be one of the best teams in the country.
Comment From @MikeJohnson93
glennon, do you miss the high school rivalry games of Westfield vs. Chantilly?
Glennon: It still is one of the most exciting games I've ever played in. Even compared to college football, that's as good as it gets.
Comment From @Jpg76
when are you growing the beard back out? fear the beard!!!!
Glennon: Possibly for camp. Haven't decided yet.
Glennon: I appreciate everybody taking the time to ask questions today. Hope you're all going to be at Carter-FInley on Saturday for the spring game. The team really does appreciate how much support the fans give us.
