COLUMBUS, Ohio- Dani Foster capped off her stellar freshman campaign on Friday, at the NCAA Rifle Championships at Ohio State University. Foster, who became the first NC State shooter to qualify for the event in 18 years, competed in the smallbore competition.
Foster placed 10th in her relay, and 36th overall in the event, firing a score of 569, short of the school record 580 that she shot earlier this season. Sarah Scherer of TCU won the event with her mark of 589.
The event marked the final competition of the year for the NC State rifle squad, but the NCAA Rifle Championships will continue tomorrow, with the air rifle relays taking place.
