One of only three NC State players to earn All-America honors three times … Is the only four-time all-conference selection in school history … Led the Wolfpack to four straight Southern Conference titles … Named to the 1950 NCAA Final Four all-tournament team … Averaged 13.4 points per game in his four-year career, ranking as the school’s eighth all-time leading scorer … Following his NC State career, became the first Wolfpack player drafted by the NBA, going to the Boston Celtics in 1950.
