Averaged 16.9 points per game as a senior and finished his career with 1,430 points … Earned All-Southern Conference honors in 1952 and 1953 and led his team to two league titles … Was just the third NC State player to score more than 500 points in a season … Ranks fourth in school history with 1,057 career rebounds … Called the “fastest big man in college basketball” by coach Everett Case.
