RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State women's tennis team will host No. 40 Florida State at the J.W. Isenhower Tennis Center on Saturday, March 24. The match is set to begin at noon.
The Pack is 5-9 on the young season, including a 1-2 ACC record. NC State has one netter ranked in singles action. Sophomore Joelle Kissell, who owns a 9-5 record this season, is ranked No. 60 in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll.
Kissell has defeated four ranked opponents so far this year, the most recent coming in the Pack's match against No. 11 North Carolina. Kissell picked up the lone point for the Pack, topping No. 33 Zoe De Bruycker, 6-0, 6-3.
No. 40 Florida State is 7-5 overall, and 0-3 in ACC play. The Seminoles are coming off of a 5-2 win against No. 39 TCU at home on Wednesday night.
Following the competition against the Seminoles, NC State will host No. 6 Miami on Sunday, March 25. The Hurricanes will be the second top-10 opponent that the Pack has faced this season.
