Boffa Places 35th at NCAAs

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - NC State swimmer Jonathan Boffa competed in the 50 freestyle at the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday. Boffa tied for 35th place with a time of 19.93.
Boffa's time was just over a tenth of a second off of his personal best time of 19.82. That time places him third on the all-time list at NC State, trailing only Cullen Jones and David Fox, both former Olympians.
Boffa will return to action on Friday in the 200 freestyle. Preliminaries for the event will begin at noon, followed by finals at 7 p.m.
