Football Priority Deadline

March is 1, 2012 is the deadline for all donations to count toward priority for the 2012 football season. Gifts made online by 11:59 pm on 3/1/2012, as well as gifts postmarked by 3/1/2012 are counted. Gifts and pledges made after this date do not impact a donor’s priority for the 2012 football season.
Therefore, the online viewing for viewing one’s ranking will be cut off on 2/29. Over the next few days, we will process any donations through the mail that are postmarked 3/1/12. We expect to have received them all by Monday, 3/5/12. Our plan is to re-rank at the end of the day on Monday 3/5 or sooner if we have everything entered. Once we re-rank, the online ranking will be turned on again.
We turn off the rank viewing because many donors may log onto the system on March 1st to view their rank and think that is their final ranking for football purposes. However, due to credit card processing, postmarks, stock-gifts to settle and other type of gifts, that ranking could change. We therefore turn off the rank viewing feature to be correct and fair to all of our donors.
