RALEIGH, N.C. - The No. 17 NC State rifle team will return to action on Saturday, Feb. 18, in Charleston, S.C. The competition will serve as a combination of three matches- the NCAA Qualifier, the National Rifle Association Sectional, and the SEARC 6. The Wolfpack is currently undefeated in the SEARC, and will look to remain that way this weekend.
NC State has fired four new school records this season. Individually, Dani Foster and Bryan Cross both tied the school record in smallbore, shooting 578. The team has also shot new records in air rifle (2318), smallbore (2292) and combined score (4596).
"One of our goals is to have all of our top shooters fire scores of 570 or above in smallbore and 580 or above in air rifle," said head coach Keith Miller. "We're just a point here and there from that level, so our progress is good.
"We're on an excellent track and are working hard to improve our scores each match."
Live scoring will be available HERE. Full results will be available at GoPack.com following the conclusion of the competition.
