Rodney Purvis Named ACC Rookie of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – NC State’s Rodney Purvis has been selected as the ACC's Rookie of the Week following his performance this past weekend.

In his first collegiate game, Purvis tied for the team scoring lead with 16 points and was one of six Wolfpack players in double figures as sixth-ranked NC State opened its season Friday with a 97-59 win over visiting Miami (Ohio).

The Raleigh, N.C., native also pulled down two rebounds, handed out one assist and hit on 6-of-11 from the floor, including 3-of-5 from behind the arc.
