RALEIGH, N.C. - The No. 20 NC State rifle team will travel to Charleston, S.C., to compete against No. 6 Ole Miss, The Citadel, and No. 14 Air Force on Saturday, Jan. 28. The Wolfpack is coming off of a win at the SEARC 5 match, where it defeated five conference foes and six NCAA opponents to remain undefeated in the SEARC.
NC State has enjoyed strong scores so far this season. As a team, the Wolfpack fired a school record in total score (4575) against Army, and also tied the school record in smallbore (2267) against both Army and Nebraska.
NC State turned in two personal-best performances a week ago, from sophomore Madeline Pike and freshman Dani Foster. Pike's air rifle score of 581 was good for her best mark, as was Foster's combined score of 1148.
Bryan Cross set a school record in smallbore against Nebraska earlier in the season with his score of 578. Cross also fired a season-best 578 in air rifle two weeks ago against Ole Miss and The Citadel.
Full results will be posted on GoPack.com following the conclusion of the competition.
