Raleigh, N.C. - NC State head football coach Tom O'Brien has announced that Jon Tenuta, who has served as the Wolfpack's linebacker coach since 2010, has been promoted to Associate Head Coach for Defense.
"Jon has played a key role in our team's success for the past two years, including our back-to-back bowl victories," said O'Brien. "He adds an enormous amount of experience and expertise to our staff and we are happy that he has accepted these new responsibilities as we work toward our goal of winning an ACC Championship."
Tenuta, who has spent 16 of his 31 years in coaching as a defensive coordinator at seven different schools, will also receive a contract extension, which will run through May 31, 2014.
