RALEIGH, N.C. - A pair of Wolfpackers were honored by the ACC office on Tuesday as T.J. Graham and Brian Slay both picked up conference player of the week accolades. Graham was named specialist of the week, while Slay was named co-defensive lineman of the week.
The honor marks the second of Graham's career, and the first for Slay.
Graham returned three punts for 88 yards against Liberty, including a game-changing 82-yard return for a score. That return was the 11th longest in school history and his second career punt return for a touchdown. Graham also returned four kickoffs for 99 yards, including one for 44 yards that set up a scoring drive.
For the game, Graham had 88 yards on punt returns, 99 yards on kick returns, and a reception for seven yards, giving him 194 all-purpose yards.
Slay stole the show on defense in his second career start, forcing a fumble and recovering two more - including one for a 52-yard score. His touchdown marked the fourth-longest fumble return in school history and the longest in 16 years. He also collected six tackles, including two sacks for a loss of seven yards.
