Raleigh, N.C. -
As you are putting the finishing touches on your tailgate plans, make sure you plan to visit a military-themed Fan Zone this Saturday and spend time with military service branches while enjoying interactive games and live entertainment. Located on the front lawn of the RBC Center behind the North End Zone of Carter-Finley Stadium, Fan Zone will open at 3:00 PM and will be packed full of activities for Wolfpack fans of all ages.
Taking the stage to perform all of your current and classic country favorites will be Ambush. Having opened for the likes of Tim McGraw, Clay Walker and The Bellamy Brothers among others, Ambush will be sure to put on a show you will not soon forget.
With four branches of the United States Military on hand, there will be an undeniable patriotic feeling that will be a great experience for all Wolfpack fans. The Air Force will be represented by area recruiters, a RAP vehicle display and an interactive video game. On display from the Army, USO and Association of the US Army will be a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), two Humvees, a climbing rockwall, football toss, go-karts and local recruiters.
Area recruiters from the Marines will be present testing your upper-body strength in a pull-up challenge along with their Humvee display. Wolfpack fans will also get to experience first-hand the twists and turns of being a Navy pilot in the interactive flight simulator. Local recruiters from the Navy will be present answering questions and displaying their RAP vehicle. Fans can also support military overseas by dropping off items for the Back Home Box Foundation at locations in Fan Zone and around Carter-Finley Stadium. Visit www.backhomebox.org to learn more about what to shop for.
Time Warner Cable will be on hand keeping you updated on college football games across the country as they broadcast the day's top games on the huge LED screen. Along with the large LED board, Wolfpack fans can have their pictures taken and uploaded to the Carter-Finley Stadium video board as part of Time Warner Cable's Pack Pics promotion.
Team CHE and JamesHardie will also be in attendance offering Wolfpack fans the opportunity to win a custom home makeover valued up to $20,000 as well as a chance to win a custom Wolfpack playhouse. While you're there, be sure to stay cool all afternoon with a free handheld fan courtesy of CHE/JamesHardie.
