Visit Fan Zone this Saturday at Carter-Finley Stadium

Wolfpack fans, the 2011 football season is finally here! As you are putting the finishing touches on your tailgate plans, make sure you plan to visit an enhanced Fan Zone to enjoy interactive games, displays and live entertainment that makes our tailgating atmosphere among the best in the ACC. Located on the front lawn of the RBC Center behind the North End Zone of Carter-Finley Stadium, Fan Zone will open at 3:00 PM and will be packed full of activities for Wolfpack fans of all ages.
Taking the stage to entertain everyone will be one of Raleigh’s hottest bands, Old Avenue. Having performed throughout the Triangle, Old Avenue will play hits from and inspired by Dave Matthews Band, Hootie & The Blowfish, O.A.R. and John Mayer among others.
There will be large LED screen broadcasting college football games from across the country compliments of Time Warner Cable. Along with the huge LED board, Wolfpack fans can have their pictures taken and uploaded to the Carter-Finley Stadium video board as part of Time Warner Cable’s Pack Pics promotion.
Team CHE will also be on-site offering Wolfpack fans the opportunity to win a custom home makeover valued up to $20,000 as well as a chance to win a custom Wolfpack playhouse. While you’re there, be sure to stay cool all afternoon with a free handheld fan courtesy of CHE/JamesHardie.
Although the NCSU Bookstore has relocated on-campus, you’ll be able to find their tent at every home game in Fan Zone to gear up for the season and shop the newest arrivals, including the new 2011 Adidas designs.
Stop by the NC State Men’s and Women’s Cross Country team tent for pictures and autographs as they prepare for the upcoming season. Make sure to also visit the photo booth at the 99.9FM The Fan tent after enjoying some of North Carolina’s best barbeque from the Barbeque Lodge at every home game this fall.
