State Picked to Finish Third in Atlantic Division

PINEHURST, N.C. - NC State was picked to finish third in the ACC Atlantic Division according to a poll of media members attending this week's ACC Football Kickoff at the Pinehurst Resort.

The Wolfpack collected 270 points total, trailing Florida State and Clemson. Boston College (4th), Maryland (5th) and Wake Forest (6th) rounded out the rest of the division.

Virginia Tech took first in the Coastal Division, with Miami (2nd), North Carolina (3rd), Georgia Tech (4th), Virginia (5th) and Duke(6th) trailing.

Florida State was the consensus choice to defeat Virginia Tech for the ACC Championship, while Montel Harris of Boston College was tapped as the ACC Preseason Player of the Year.
