RALEIGH, N.C. -
Wrestling Insider News Magazine has tabbed head coach Carter Jordan's signing class as No. 5 in the country. Boasting two four-time state champions and two three-time champions, the class is the highest-ranked of all ACC programs.
"We couldn't be more excited about this group of talented young men," said Jordan. "This notoriety is just icing on the cake.
"This class and our ability to sign student-athletes of this caliber is a testament to our administration and the support that they offer us, as well as the work ethic of our staff."
Chris Phillips, Josh DaSilveria, Henry Carlson, Harrison Honeycutt and Coltin Fought initially inked with the program in November. Michael Avelar, Ben Elliott, Mario Corado, Josh Davis, Joe Gaccione, Mardel Gabriel, Thomas Gantt, Gabe LeVey, Adam Matthews and Robert O'Neil each recently signed with the Wolfpack.
Phillips stands as the centerpiece of the Wolfpack's recruiting class. A 171-pounder out of Monroeville, Ohio, he is a four-time state champion and the No. 3 overall signee in the class of 2011, regardless of weight class.
In all the signing class includes 19 state titles - with Phillips and Carlson boasting four each - and five national titles.
