Editor's note: As the Wolfpack Club celebrates the 75th anniversary of its founding in 1936 during its annual spring caravan, GoPack.com will profile the district representatives who help organize events and outings in their areas and are an integral part of the organization's fundraising efforts on behalf of NC State student-athletes. The Wolfpack Club Caravan travels to Columbia, N.C., Tuesday night, Charlotte on Wednesday and Raleigh on Thursday.

Blair Meads
Region: District 14
Hometown: Elizabeth City, N.C.
Current residence: Kitty Hawk, N.C.
Occupation: Owner, Sears Hometown Store; Owner, Reliant Construction Company.
Family: Wife, Laura; children, Claire and Austin.
Wolfpack Club member since: 1999
NC State graduate: 1999 (degree in business management)
Q. Was there an event or particular season that made you become an NC State fan?
A. When State won the 1983 National Championship in basketball.
Q. What made you join the Wolfpack Club?
A. Graduating from there made me want to be a part of it. I love sports. I go to all the football games and a few basketball games.
Q. How did you become a district leader?
A. Chris Combs had a luncheon with the members. He said they needed somebody for this area. I felt that was something I could handle and decided to take it on.
Q. How strong is the NC State fan base in your district?
A. Probably about 50 or 100.
Q. Do you have a favorite NC State student-athlete?
A. Recently, Philip Rivers.
Q. What is your favorite memory involving NC State athletics?
A. I do love the Wolfpack Jamboree, meeting all the coaches every year and talking with everybody.
Q. Did you participate in organized sports?
A. Played baseball (shortstop) at Northeastern High. Made All Conference.
Q. In what other community activities are you involved?
A. Member of Home Builders Association.
Bobby Purcell says: “
"Blair is a relatively new representative for us, down on the Outer Banks. He's in the construction business and is a big outdoorsman. We haven't done as many things out his was as we need to, but he's a new rep who has really stepped up and done the things we have asked him to. I know we will be doing even more in his district."
