RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State hosts Western Carolina in the final game of 2011 at the RBC Center at 2 p.m., on Saturday. It will be the 14th meeting between the two programs in a series that dates back to 1975.
The Wolfpack own a 13-0 record against the Camounts including winning the last meeting, 74-62, on Jan. 28, 2007. State will be looking to extend its winning streak to four games after an 87-81 win over Campbell on Thursday at Reynolds Coliseum.
Saturday's game can be heard on the NC State Radio Network and seen on ESPN3 with Tom Werme and former Pack standout Chucky Brown calling the action.
TRANSITION POINTS
• Saturday’s contest with Western Carolina is the first meeting between the two programs since a 74-62 NC State win on Dec. 28, 2007.
• NC State is 13-0 all-time versus the Catamounts.
• The Wolfpack owns 182-28 records against the current members of the Southern Conference.
• State was a SoCon charter member (1921-53), winning six regular season crown and seven tournament titles.
• The Catmounts are the second team from the SoCon that the Pack has faced this season. On Nov. 25, NCSU defeated Elon, 82-67, at Reynolds Coliseum.

• Catmount head coach Larry Hunter served as a Wolfpack assistant from 2001-05 under former head coach Herb Sendek.

• Wolfpack great Chucky Brown will be providing the color commentary for Saturday’s ESPN3 broadcast. It’s the second time this year a former Pack player has been the color analyst. Earlier this year, Dereck Whittenburg called NCSU’s Texas and Vandy games.
• Guard Lorenzo Brown posted a career high 24 points in the Pack’s 87-81 win over Campbell at Reynolds Colisuem.
• Richard Howell notched his second consecutive double-double with 17 points and a career-best 17 rebounds versus Campbell.
• Since the Pack’s move to the RBC Center, starting with the 1999-2000 season, the Pack is 10-0 in December games played at Reynolds Coliseum following the win over Camels on Thursday.
• NC State has the top free throw percentage in the ACC at .743.
• The Pack is only ACC program with five players listed in league’s scoring leaders.
• Scott Wood is 29-of-29 from the line this year.
