RALEIGH, N.C. – Wil Baumann and Terrell Manning were both awarded weekly ACC honors, as announced by the conference on Monday. Baumann was named ACC Player of the Week at specialist, while Manning was given the honor at linebacker.
Baumann, a freshman from Wilmington, N.C., punted seven times against North Carolina for an average of 37.9 yards, with five of his punts falling inside the 20-yard line. Of those five punts, four were downed inside the 10-yard line.
Manning, a junior from Laurinburg, N.C., played 59 snaps for the Wolfpack, and accumulated 11 total tackles and one sack for 12 yards. He broke up three passes and had three quarterback knockdowns.
Manning was a crucial component of NC State’s defense in its shut out of UNC, particularly during the last 20 minutes of play, in which he had three stops on third down and one on fourth down.
