KaRonne Jones Leads NC State Wrestlers at Hokie Open

SALEM, Va. - KaRonne Jones rebounded from a first-round loss to take five straight matches and claim third place at 197 pounds at the 2011 Hokie Open, held Sunday at the Salem Civic Center.
Jones was one of four Wolfpack wrestlers to place in their respective weight classes. Darrius Little took fifth place at 141 pounds, and Quinton Godley took sixth at 174.
"We could have wrestled better, but for a first competition I felt pretty good," Wolfpack coach Carter Jordan said. "Some guys wrestled really well and some guys I was a little disappointed with. These kids are smart and they're competitive, and they'll work hard to get better. This is a fun team to coach, and they understand what's going on."
