RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State plays the first of three games slated for Reynolds Coliseum this season when it hosts Elon on Friday. The tipoff is set for 7 p.m. The game can be heard on the Wolfpack Radio Network and broadcast on ESPN3.
NC STATE-ELON, THE SERIES: NC State leads the all-time series with Elon 21-8, including a 87-72 victory over the Phoenix in Greensboro last season.
The Wolfpack has won the last eight meetings. In 2005, State posted its largest margin of victory against Elon with a 71-45 win at the RBC Center.
Friday's game will be the first time that the two programs have faced one another at Reynolds Coliseum.
The series started in 1912-13, and played unitl 1926-27. The teams did not meet again until 2004-05. In the three meetings since the series started back up, NC State has an average winning margin of 14.7 points in the three victories.

LAST TIME OUT: The Wolfpack evened the all-time series with Texas with a thrilling 77-73 victory in the consolation game of the Legends Classic on Monday at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, N.J.
Trailing by 10 at the break and as much as 18 points in the second half, NC State used a 28-2 run to take the lead.
Sophomore forward C.J. Leslie led the way with 17 points on 4-of-8 shooting and connecting on 9-of-16 from the charity stripe. Junior forward Scott Wood return to action after missing the Vanderbilt game due to sprained ankle to register 16 points, including hitting 3-of-8 from three-point range and going 5-of-5 at the line. Sophomore guard Lorenzo Brown added 11.
DOUBLE DIGIT HALFTIME COMEBACKS: NC State's rally from 10 points down against Texas marks the 14th time since 1973-74 that the Wolfpack has come back from a double-digit deficit to win.
