Brunelli Hired as Director of Sports Nutrition

Raleigh, N.C. - NC State athletics has hired Jennifer Brunelli as the department's Director of Sports Nutrition. In that role, Brunelli will work with all of the Wolfpack's student-athletes to provide each team and its members an even better opportunity through nutrition to achieve their performance goals.
Among her duties, she will provide individual nutrition counseling, design, implement and monitor NC State's training table meals, provide body composition and bone evaluation, and also provide a nutritional supplement evaluation.
"Jennifer is an exceptional talent that we are very fortunate to have on our team," said Associate AD Sherard Clinkscales. "Her experience as a former All-American swimmer will earn her immediate credibility with our student-athletes and coaches.
"Her expertise in the area of sports nutrition will greatly enhance our strength and conditioning programs while working with our sports medicine staff in nutrition based ailments. The addition of Jennifer to State athletics solidifies our commitment to the total well being of our student-athletes."
Brunelli was a 7-time All American swimmer at the University of South Carolina and was National Champion runner-up in the 100 and 200 freestyle at NCAA Championships in the 2003-2004 season. She holds two individual and multiple relay school records at USC, and participated in the U.S. Olympic trials in 2004.
Brunelli earned a B.S. degree in Marketing and Management from South Carolina, a B.S. degree in Dietetics from Arizona State, and is currently finishing her Master's degree in Human Nutrition from Winthrop.
Brunelli currently owns Sports RDpro, LLC, where she provides individual and group consultations for amateur and professional athletes. She also presents at many public speaking engagements for teams, schools, etc.
