Little Ranked in Preseason Poll

RALEIGH, N.C. –Redshirt senior Darrius Little, a two-time All-ACC selection and NCAA Championships qualifier, enters the 2011-12 wrestling season ranked No. 15 in the Intermat.com preseason poll.

Little had his best season to date as a redshirt junior last year, emerging as one of the ACC’s top wrestlers. He earned All-ACC honors at 141 pounds and advanced to the NCAA Championships for the second time in his career. After redshirting the previous season, he finished the 2010-11 season with a 26-12 record. Little led the team in ACC wins, with a record of 8-3 against conference opponents.

Little earned his first All-ACC honors as a sophomore, placing third at 133 pounds, and went on to make an  appearance at the NCAA Championships.

The NC State wrestling season begins Sunday, Nov. 6 with the Hokie Open in Blacksburg, Va.
