Leslie Named ACC Rookie of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – NC State’s C.J. Leslie was selected the ACC Rookie of the Week following his outstanding performance last week.

In earning the league’s rookie award for a second time in three weeks and the third time this season, Leslie averaged 19.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and shot 65 percent from the floor (13-of-20) as the Wolfpack won twice.

The freshman from Holly Springs, N.C. opened the week with a 19-point, nine-rebound performance in an 87-72 win over Elon Wednesday.

In Saturday’s 90-69 victory over visiting Wake Forest, Leslie had 19 points and six rebounds as the Wolfpack extended their win streak to five games.
