Several lucky Wolfpack fans won tickets to the 2010 football home opener during the week leading up to the game. Congratulations to David Parker, the winner of the Taco Bell Giveaway. He received a pair of tickets to the Wolfpack season opener along with a Taco Bell prize pack and gift certificate.
Kasey Poutler was the lucky winner of the Kanki Trivia Contest for Week1. By exercising his NC State Football knowledge he won four tickets to the game and dinner for four at Kanki!
Prior to kickoff on Saturday, the North Carolina Pork Council Pork Patrol was on the lookout for pork products featured in a tailgate. This week's winner was Chris Brantley of Rocky Mount, NC. He proudly displayed his pork ribs that he barbequed for his tailgaters along with a great sense Wolfpack Pride. By using pork at his tailgate, he won a great prize pack including the signature Pork Patrol apron and had his tailgate featured during the game on the video-board.
At the end of the first quarter, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina sponsored the Blue Points Game Day Catch. NC State students Ryan and Ben competed for gift cards from Omega Sports. It was a best of three catches of footballs into their blue points baskets to determine the winner. The competition was fierce, but in the end, Ryan edged out Ben by 1 catch. Congratulations to Ryan on winning the close competition, and congratulations again to all of the contest and promotion winners at the Western Carolina game.
