Make sure a stop in the Wolfpack Fan Zone is on your game-day schedule this football season. The Wolfpack Fan Zone is located on the front lawn of the RBC Center and opens 3 hours prior to kickoff of all home games. It is a carnival-like area that is packed full of activities for Wolfpack fans of all ages!
The Fan Zone typically hosts a band or live radio show broadcast and a wide array of vendors and activities before each game. A typical day in the Fan Zone will include interactive games and activities, coupons and product samples from restaurants and other vendors, vehicle displays, face painters, team autograph sessions and much more. Fans are also able to purchase Wolfpack merchandise and apparel from the NC State Bookstores on site in the Fan Zone.
Some of the featured displays/events highlighting the schedule this season are:
• The Western Carolina game kicks off the 2010 season with samples from Brightleaf Hotdogs, the new official hotdog of Carter-Finley Stadium, and displays from some of these fine sponsors: Outback Steakhouse, Time Warner Cable, CPI Security, and many more.
• The US Army Rock Wall and a helicopter display in honor of Military Appreciation day at the Cincinnati Fan Zone. The Geico Interactive Tour will also be on hand that day. Fans will receive a special treat when the NC State Dance Team partners with a Haitian Dance Troop for a unique exhibition.
• The Coca-Cola Concert Tour will be making a stop in the Fan Zone, energizing the crowd before the Virginia Tech game with live performances from three bands. NC State Duck Tape, State Farm, Capital Bank, and AAA, among other partners will also be present in the Fan Zone.
• Prior to the Boston College game, the North Carolina Pork Council will provide samples to Fan Zone visitors. This event is always a fan favorite.
• ESPN the Magazine will be featured in the Fan Zone at the Florida State game with its interactive tour that travels college football sites around the country. Full of interactive displays, games, product samples and giveaways, the ESPN Tour offers something for all Wolfpack fans.
