RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State’s Johnny Thomas is on pace to earn his undergraduate degree from NC State this summer, and will not return to the men’s basketball team for the upcoming 2010-11 season. Thomas will be graduating in just over three years, and will pursue other opportunities in both a masters program and to play basketball at another school to be determined.
Thomas appeared in 25 games off the bench during his NC State career, averaging 1.6 points in 8.4 minutes of action. He redshirted the 2007-08 season after suffering a knee injury prior to the season.
Thomas was named to the 2008 ACC Honor Roll and the 2009 All-ACC Academic Team while working towards a degree in sport management.
