Baker leads W. Golf in final round of NCAA Regional

NCAA Central Regional Final Round Results
Columbus, Ind. - NC State women's golf concluded its season with a 21st place finish at the NCAA Central Regional Saturday at Otter Creek Golf Course.
The Wolfpack as a team shot +44 (332) for the final round. The Pack finished the tournament at +120 (328-324-322=984).
Junior Brooke Baker carded a seven-over par 79 on the final day of the regional in aiding her to a tie for 45th place at +22 (80-79-79=238). Baker had one birdie and 10 pars during the third round.
Junior Julie Saleeby finished in a tie for 56th after a final round score of +10 (82). Saleeby finished the regional at +24 (80-78-82=240).
Seniors Emily Street and Kathleen Strandberg, playing in their final NCAA Regional, finished tied for 96th place at +37.
Senior Joanna Saleeby tied for 106th after the final day of action at +43.
Second-round leader USC won the regional by eight strokes at +43 (907). Kent State's Martina Gavier takes home medalist honors with a final score of +3 (219).
Along with USC, advancing to the NCAA Championship in Wilmington, N.C., next weekend are Arizona State, Purdue, New Mexico, Oklahoma State, Florida State, Oregon, and Kent State. Denver's Kimberly Kim and Georgia's Marta Silva Zamora advance as individuals after being the top two performers without their team advancing.
