
Strandberg tied for 10th at Bryan Collegiate

Bryan National Collegiate 1st round results
GREENSBORO, N.C. - Senior Kathleen Strandberg carded an even-par 72 to the lead the NC State women's golf team Friday in the first round of the Bryan National Collegiate.
The Wolfpack as a team posted a team score of 316 (+28) for the first round and is in 17th place.
Strandberg was consistent with her shot all day with a bogey free front nine to finish with only one bogey to go along with her one birdie on No. 18. She is currently in a tie for 10th.
First-year transfer Brooke Baker posted a seven-over par 79 and is tied for 67th. Baker started out on a roll collecting three straight pars but was not able to regain that groove until the damage had been done in the round.
Sophomore Meghan Chapman is currently in a tie for 87th after posting an 82 (+10).
Seniors Joanna Saleeby and Emily Street are tied for 92nd at +11 (83). Saleeby had a birdie on No. 6 bouncing back from a bogey on the previous hole.
Tennessee leads all teams through the first round with a score of 287 (-1). Wake Forest's Michelle Shin is atop the individual leader board at -4 (68).
Second round action tees off at 8:20 am.
