No. 37 W. Tennis Runs By Maryland 6-1

Raleigh, N.C. - The No. 37 NC State women's tennis team won its second straight ACC match with a 6-1 victory over Maryland. The win moves the Wolfpack to 11-8 and 3-7 in the ACC, and drops the Terrapins to 2-11 and 0-9 in the ACC.
The Pack has not lost this year when winning the doubles point, so it was a good sign when taking two of three doubles matches. Lenka Hojckova and Tana Illova took down Lexi Brand and Jordan Hansbrough 8-3. Berkeley Brock and Chloe Smith clinched the point with an 8-3 win against Julia Huschke and Burce Kurkan. Sandhya Nagaraj and Daria Petrovic lost 8-6 to Maggie Mackeever and Lisa Miller.
As with its last match against Virginia Tech, the Wolfpack won five of six singles contests. No. 59 Nagaraj dominated MacKeever to a tune of a 6-0, 6-0 sweep. Smith continued her solid play as of late with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Kurkan. Hojckova sealed the victory by beating Huschke 6-1, 6-2.
Brock took down Miller in straight sets 6-4, 6-2. The lone loss was Petrovic falling to Hansbrough 6-4, 6-3. Illova trumped Brand in three sets, 6-3, 5-7, 10-7 to close out the day.
The Pack closes out the regular season with a trip to Boston College on Sunday, April 18 at 11:00 a.m.
